1000 Swedish Kroner Ikea Voucher Not Enough to Furnish New Office

Ronneby – As many readers may know a recent surge in Swedish viewership led to our exodus to the beautiful and quiet town of Ronneby in Sweden.

A week has gone by and the entirety of the department has settled in quite comfortably in our Office/Water tower. It goes without saying that we appreciate our Swedish fans for the support, however a little welcome parade wouldn’t have hurt.

By no means are we being ungrateful, but we haven’t come into any actual physical contact with a single viewer here. The Leek wouldn’t have minded if the people of Ronneby had maybe provided a guided tour through the town, perhaps a little soiree to meet the locals, a photo-op with the mayor, or police constable. Practically anything to boost our publicity. We had even hoped ‘Espehallen’ our local grocery store would have invited us to taste their various flavored ‘Prinsesstårta’ at a more reasonable price, or maybe even for free.

We are proud however to have received a generous donation from Ikea in the form of a 1000 Kroner voucher as well as all you can eat meatballs for a month. However, we grossly overestimated the worth of a 1000 Kroner. Who knew a 1000 Kroner was just a 100 euros, all this time we were under the impression the Swedes used to Euro. After much struggle at the cash register we were  just able to afford one Lillhöjden office chair and a Linnmon table, we'll have to make do with what we have to furnish our office.

Nerves are little frayed right now at The Leek HQ, we’re beginning to think this was a bad idea. We've had to pay 3 months rent plus a deposit upfront and we're running low on revenue, also the tower has no power outlets. We need a radiator or blankets, to be honest any of the two would be fine.

We’re also open for donations, please.
